Emma from Little Ripley and Jack from The Nest - Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

We had a catch up with two of our Level 3’s as they get ready for their EPA. We wanted to know how they would describe the kind of support they have received from the very beginning of their learning journey.

How did you find starting out with Swift?

Sara and Jemma really helped us to finally put our heads down and get on, to work towards completing our apprenticeship. There is also lots of support available from the very beginning.

How in particular do you feel supported?

All the staff make you feel accepted for who you are as well as giving out support equally to everyone. We also feel that our needs are heard by staff and action is taken.

What’s your favourite thing about your experience with Swift?

Getting to come into the academy and having the chance to meet new people allowed us to make new friends and to talk to other Childcare apprentices.  We are always made really welcome whenever we come in and that has always been the case. We have both had a lot of great times in the academy.

Is there anything that you were unsure about?

The idea of being in a classroom wasn’t appealing and we were unsure if we were going to like that part. However, we found that the classroom at Swift is a great environment where we feel free and can share thoughts and ideas.
