As a nursery owner or manager, you play a vital role in providing quality childcare to families in your community. 

We're writing to inform you of an upcoming change to the way you access government services related to your childcare apprenticeships and funding for your nursery setting.

Starting in March 2023, you will need to use a GOV.UK One Login to access your Apprenticeship Service account. When you sign into the Apprenticeship Service, you will be automatically redirected to either create a GOV.UK One Login or sign in using your existing details. It's important to note that you must use the same email address that is registered to your Apprenticeship Service account when creating or signing in to your GOV.UK One Login.

We also want to let you know that access to the government gateway for early years funding for your nursery will also be integrated with GOV.UK One Login in the future. We don't have a specific date for this integration yet, but we will update you as soon as we have more information.

GOV.UK One Login is the new way for employers to access central government services. Initially, you will only be able to access a few services, such as Apprenticeships, through GOV.UK One Login. However, as more services join, you will ultimately be able to access any government service using the same email address and password.
